Post-Recognition Chief of Police, Opposition Solomon Question Indonesia's commitment in MSG

Jayapura, Jubi - opposition People First Party in urging Solomon Islands Melanesia Spearhead Groups (MSG) review of Indonesia's membership in MSG.
 
The call comes after the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Chief of Police), General Badrodin Haiti recognizes the Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror kick Siyono called as terrorist suspects to death. Siyono kicked in the chest until his ribs were broken which caused his heart to fail.

"This is just one of many examples and cases that require revisiting membership MSG Indonesia. Indonesia's membership should be reviewed to see whether they conform to the principles of the Melanesian group or not. If it is no longer appropriate, Indonesia should be excluded from MSG, "said Derrick Manuari, members of the opposition in the Parliament of the Solomon Islands, Friday (04/22/2016) reported by Jubi.

While in Vanuatu, the opposition in parliament reiterated their position on the issue with the government of Papua. Opposition Leader Alatoi Kalsakau Ismail said the government should fight for West Papua, represented by the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) to obtain full membership status in the MSG.

"Vanuatu do not have to compromise on the attitude of the kanaki and West Papua, because they will always stand with us," said Kalsakau. 

 Kalsakau convince the Vanuatu government that he led the opposition is behind the government because the issue of West Papua as well as a matter of honor for Vanuatu

"It's no longer a matter of internal politics of Vanuatu. It's a matter of honor of the nation of Vanuatu. This is about pride and integrity of the nation and the people of Vanuatu, "said Kalsakau. (*)
