Jayapura, Jubi - Public Relations and Protocol Secretariat of Papua, on Tuesday (11/10/2015) received the visit of three leaders of journalists and news organizations from the United Kingdom, Australia and New York (Jane Wortthington, Edward Pittman and Sumit Gilhotre). Their arrival to determine the extent to which foreign media could freely cover the Earth Cendrawasih. They come in a series of International Partnership Mission to Indonesia. 


Head of Public Relations and Protocol Secretariat of Papua, FX Motte said that since there are instructions of President Joko Widodo, foreign journalists could cover in Papua. Where to start from the coverage of cultural moments such as the implementation of the Lake Sentani Festival, Gulf Humbold, Biak, Asmat, Jayawijaya and so on. 
"Moment of this culture can be used to cover what is in Papua," said Motte, in Jayapura.
 In addition, said Motte, Papua provincial government was designing the Special Regulations (Perdasus) which regulates foreign jurnasil, which is currently already in the Legal Bureau.
"In the draft Perdasus, the provincial government will involve stakeholders, including police, military, journalists and other institutions to see, discuss and establish," he said.

With the instructions of the President, said Motte all areas should be open to receive visits of foreign journalists, both print and electronic.

To Papua continued, the provincial government will issue Perdasus so that foreign journalists should not hesitate to come to cover the Earth Cendrawasih.
"The policy of the President for foreign journalists already there, both provincial governments will issue Perdasus. It is expected that another component can follow the direction of the president. What the president said that the provincial government implement, "said Motte.

At the same place, Jane Worthington, Chairman of the International Federation of Journalists Asia Pacific admitted very happy to be accepted and supported by the provincial government of Papua.
