DP/Jubi - Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill raised the question of Human Rights in West Papua to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, Retno Marsudi on weekends.
"I have made my position clear on the issue of West Papua Indonesia and we appreciate your understanding. Our attention on these issues related to human rights, and this has nothing to do with the issue of sovereignty, "he said in a media statement on Sunday (01/03/2015)
Retno Marsudi on his first visit to Port Moresby where he met PNG Pato Rimbink partners also paid a courtesy call to O'Neill on behalf of President Joko Widodo, before continuing its journey to Fiji to do the same bilateral talks.
The Prime Minister also expressed his wish for Indonesia to support West Papua membership MSG.

O'Neill hopes Retno Marsudi and delegation gain greater insight about PNG.
