West Papua Accepted Membership in MSG

SPP / Jubi, - Secretariat of the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) said it had received a membership application submitted by the West Papua ULMWP.

United Liberation Movement of West Papua (ULMWP) on Wednesday, 4/2/2015 been handed back to the membership applications of MSG. Submission conducted afternoon at MSG Secretariat in Port Vila, asserted that the submission of the application documents submission of West Papuans not unusual.

After the opening speech delivered by the Secretary-General, Okto Mote and Benny Wenda, application documents submitted by Okto Mote to the Deputy Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Ham Lini.

"This is in recognition of the strong support of Vanuatu in the Papuan struggle," said Ham Lini when receiving documents from Okto Mote application.

Ham Lini then, on behalf of the Vanuatu government ULMWP and will submit the document to the Director General of the Melanesian Spearhead Group, Peter Forau.
