DP/ Jubi, - Two people were killed by heavy rains and floods that hit West New Britain, Papua New Guinea. A pregnant woman buried alive and the other carried by the force of the flood.
Courier Post reports as reported by Radio New Zealand edition of Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015, said a bridge in the region due to the torrential rain washed away. He swept the streets and flooded the shopping centers.
Media reports have said the first death experienced by a pregnant woman. He was buried alive when a signpost banks fell on it. Meanwhile, the second victim died after he was swept away by flood waters.
A resident of Kimbe and former defense force liaison officer, Joshua Bailey, said the flooding at the beginning of this week has affected the entire province.
When will be confirmed, Port Moresby National Disaster Office said it has not received reports of branches in West New Britain related to the incident. (tabloidjubi.com/DP)
