KontraS: President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo Not Able to Handle Serious Human Rights Violations

@dailypapua, --- the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) states, President Joko Widodo only brave resolve minor cases of human rights violations, but was unable to complete the serious human rights violations, such as the case of Lapindo mudflow in Sidoarjo.

"The government just talking about human rights cases in Lapindo, not bold handling of gross human rights, as in the case of the murder of human rights activist Munir and cases of human rights violations," said coordinator KontraS, Haris Azhar, in the area of Cikini, Central Jakarta, Sunday (12.14.2014), as quoted from news.okezone.com.

He considered Jokowi government is not sincere resolve any cases of human rights violations in Indonesia. Because, up to now the Working Cabinet style of President Jokowi yet completed the move of human rights violations.

Padalah, Azhar said one of the promises of President Jokowi in the presidential election is solve cases of gross human rights violations.

"The possibility of the future, Jokowi government will not be able to protect human rights," said Azhar.

Meanwhile, in a press release that reported suarapapua.com, Executive Director of the Institute of Research, Assessment and Development of Legal Aid (LP3BH) Manokwari, Yan Christian Warinussy, requesting the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, as the head of state to be responsible for the deaths of five civilians in Paniai, Papua.

Warinussy also ask Papua Police and Military Commander XVII of Paradise for not trying to divert the issue of alleged human rights violations in Paniai whatever the reason, because this is a violation of human rights by the Indonesian National Army and Police in the reign Joko Widodo.
